It’s been a while since we had a meet the client blog, so we spoke to the lovely Danielle who came in for a Newborn Photoshoot with the gorgeous Baby Leif. Danielle tells us all about her experience in the studio, and how baby Leif made sure his images were made into Art Me’s History.
Q: Where did you hear about Art Me photography from, and what made you choose us?
I was searching for local photographers on Facebook for my first son's newborn shoot and came across Art Me. After seeing the most gorgeous photos on their page, for the most reasonable prices, we decided to book our session.
Q: What made you decide to have a newborn photoshoot?
We really wanted to savour the memories of our tiny babies; they don't stay small for long.
Q: They really don’t stay small for long at all, what photos from the shoot are your favourite and why?
The photo of our 9-day old baby smiling was incredible, Ian was very patient when trying to get that shot. We also love the photo of our 2 boys together, it’s just beautiful.
Q: We simply love that photo of Leif smiling, Its one of our favourites. Do you have any advice for new parents to help them prepare for a photoshoot?
Try and relax, don't get stressed if the baby is a little unsettled, Ian is extremely patient and allows time for you to settle the baby. If you have any photos in mind that you would like, just tell Ian and he will do his best to get the shot for you. You can also bring your own clothes and props.
Q: It’s so lovely to hear your tips, can you describe your experience and your favourite thing about the newborn photoshoot?
Our experience was fantastic, the atmosphere in the studio is very relaxed and welcoming. I had a few photo ideas in mind and Ian was happy to make them happen. My favourite thing was Leif peeing on his dad’s face and Ian capturing the moment. It’s something we will always laugh about.
Q: That photos is one of the funniest experiences we have ever seen in the studio, it’s one for you to show off at his 18th Birthday. How did Leif react during the session?
Leif wasn't the easiest to keep asleep, and he did keep waking during the shoot, he was also a little wriggler, but Ian managed to settle him on more than one occasion and capture some stunning photos.
Q: Its totally normal for babies to wake frequently, but we have lots of tricks to get them back to sleep and keep them calm. Would you recommend having a newborn photo session and why?
Absolutely! I think it's so important to capture those first days of your baby's life, to look back on forever. I have already recommended Art Me to my friends, one of which has had a family shoot with you, which included their gorgeous doggy.
