Covid-19 Policy

In preparation for opening the studio on the 4th July 2020, providing the Government guidelines don't change, We have created this page to clarify in detail how we will be working to keep Our customers and ourselves safe.

We will update this page regularly with any new information or any procedures that we must put in place to ensure that we are following the Government COVID19 guidelines correctly.

We appreciate that this is a very unusual time for everyone, and not being able to work in the same way as before will be very hard. Unfortunately the types of photography session we're able to offer within the studio will very limited, as will the amount of people we can have in the studio at any one time. Availability will also be greatly reduced. We'd like to take this time to thank you in advance for your patience during this time.

STUDIO GUIDELINES AND PRECAUTIONS FROM 17TH JUNE 2020

PRIOR TO THE PANDEMIC - Handwashing before and after a session has always been essential, as was washing props such as outfits and fabrics between each session, and we have always maintained high levels of cleanliness within the studio too. We will continue with these practices but we will also ensure these areas are sanitized before and after sessions, we will only have one studio session per day to allow us to thoroughly clean all areas.

ADDITONAL PRECAUTIONS - Hand sanitizer available for clients and myself to use, Ian does have a face mask and as mentioned, we will only book in one session per day.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Please read the following before coming to the studio, as this page might be updated regularly with new information. To keep ourselves and yourselves safe, the following must be followed.

ILLNESS - If anyone in your household has been unwell in the last 72 hours, please rearrange you're session (as always, we will happily move your deposit in the case of illness). Please note, We will also postpone a session if any member of our own household has been unwell. If you have been in close contact with anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19 during the last 14 days then we respectfully ask that you rearrange your session.

PAYMENT - To book a session, a non-refundable booking fee of £10 must be made, and this is to be made via bank transfer. Going forward, all remaining balances MUST be paid via bank transfer the evening before your session is due, no cash will be exchanged.

LIMITED SESSIONS - Studio sessions will, for the time being, be limited. Sadly we cannot guarantee our ability to adhere to safe social distancing measures with several people in our studio for family portraits, therefore we will be focusing on doing location sessions for family's, which can easily keep us 2 metres apart.

NEWBORN- sessions will be able to take place from July 4th provided all safety precautions are taken. When working with your newborn, Ian is in very close contact with them and yourself, this means he can not safely maintain a distance from your newborn for the full duration of your session, and as we're sure you will agree, safety is key, particularly whilst photographing a newborn, therefore Ian will wear a mask and we will ask that where possible that you do the same. We will also contact you prior to the session to discuss posing and guide you as much as possible to enable you to pose baby whilst Ian maintains a 1meter plus distance.

PORTRAITS - I'm sure that you can appreciate, given the guidance on Social distancing, that the sessions we can offer, especially in the studio are very limited. We mainly photograph maternity, newborns, little ones, cake smashes and family's in the studio. Providing nothing changes and we are open on 4th July, We will be available for Maternity, Newborn (limited posing), Cake Smash and Little ones (it will be your responsibility to ensure that your little one stays behind the social distancing line and we do understand this might be tricky). During these sessions we will only be able to have one child and one parent in the studio to ensure we can follow the social distancing rules.

- STUDIO ARRIVAL -

- Please only bring in the absolute essentials to your session, for example:- nappies, towel, soother. Please do NOT bring toys, extra electronics, food (additional to cake smash cake) or anything else.

- If possible, wear footwear that is easy to get on and off, as you will be asked to leave your shoes at the door. If possible, please also leave jackets / coats in the car.

- You will need to hand sanitize upon entering the building, this is available for you to use however you may choose to bring your own and that is fine.

-Upon arrival please wait to be directed where to go as your session will be prepped ready. There will be a chair for you to sit on should you need to. There will be tape on the floor to show where the 1m plus and 2m social distancing lines are and Ian will stay behind line throughout the session, where he is unable to do this he will wear a mask and you are invited to do the same if possible. We respectfully ask that the accompanying adult ensures that their child also stays behind the tape throughout the session too.

-Again, only one parent with one child will be allowed into the studio.

We'd like to thank you again for your understanding and patience during this time. We hope that things soon become easier and of course, that at some point, when it is safe, that we can return to some sort of normality.

We look forward to seeing you in the studio. If you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to contact us. Also if at any time during your session you have a question about anything please feel free to ask.

Samantha and Ian
